Automation Quality Engineer Lead

As a Lead Automation QA at Ventra, you will play a crucial role in driving the quality engineering strategy for their modern analytics platform built on Snowflake and Microsoft Power BI. Your responsibilities will include: - Defining and implementing the end-to-end QA strategy for the Snowflake-based data warehouse and Power BI reporting environment. - Establishing automation-first testing practices for data and analytics systems. - Leading and mentoring QA engineers and data testers. - Defining quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting dashboards. In terms of data warehouse & ETL/ELT testing, you will: - Validate data ingestion pipelines into Snowflake. - Test transformations, aggregations, joins, and business logic. - Perform source-to-target data validation. - Validate data reconciliation, completeness, accuracy, and integrity. For BI & Analytics Testing (Power BI), your responsibilities will include: - Validating datasets, semantic models, DAX calculations, and measures in Microsoft Power BI. - Testing report visuals, filters, slicers, drill-through, row-level security (RLS), and performance. - Ensuring dashboard performance and query optimization. - Ensuring consistency between warehouse data and published reports. As part of Automation Framework Development, you will: - Design and implement scalable automation frameworks for data validation, regression testing, API testing, and data pipeline testing. - Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines. - Enable automated reconciliation between source systems and Snowflake. Additionally, you will be involved in Performance & Security Testing, DevOps & CI/CD Integration, and more technical aspects as mentioned in the job description. Qualifications required for this role include: - 5 years of experience in QA and Test Automation with a focus on data warehouse ETL/ELT and analytics testing. - Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Power BI. - Strong experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks. - Advanced SQL proficiency. - Experience with CI/CD tools, version control, and cloud platforms.
