Jr . Structural Engineer

A Junior Structural Engineer is responsible for supporting the analysis, design, and detailing of structural components for construction and infrastructure projects. The role involves working under the guidance of senior engineers to prepare calculations, drawings, technical documents, and provide support during execution and construction stages. Key Responsibilities: Assist in structural analysis and design of RCC and steel structures such as beams, slabs, columns, footings, retaining walls, and industrial frames. Prepare preliminary design calculations, load assessments, and design reports under supervision. Support the development of structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, bar bending schedules (BBS), and fabrication drawings. Review architectural drawings and coordinate with MEP teams to ensure proper integration of structural systems. Perform modelling and simulation using structural engineering software like STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, or similar tools. Assist in checking design compliance with relevant engineering codes and safety standards (IS, BS, ACI, or Eurocodes). Participate in site visits, inspections, and resolving technical queries during construction. Maintain project documentation, revisions, and engineering records. Work collaboratively with senior engineers, drafting teams, and project managers to ensure proper execution. Key Skills & Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Structural Engineering is an added advantage. Basic understanding of structural behaviour, load calculations, and construction materials. Knowledge of AutoCAD and familiarity with structural analysis software. Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving approach, and willingness to learn. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
