Job Description: BIM Coordinator Position Title: BIM Coordinator Reports To: BIM Project Manager/BIM Lead Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Tirunelveli Role Description As a BIM Coordinator, you will oversee multidisciplinary coordination, manage model integration, and resolve clashes while addressing high-level technical challenges. This role demands strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the success of BIM-related projects. Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas 1. Model Integration and Coordination Coordinate the integration of models across multiple disciplines to ensure consistency and compliance. Act as the primary point of contact for all model-related coordination tasks. 2. Clash Detection and Resolution Utilize tools like Navisworks, BIM 360, or Revizto for clash detection and resolution. Implement strategies to address and resolve clashes effectively. 3. Technical Problem-Solving Identify and address high-level technical challenges related to BIM workflows. Provide innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of BIM processes. 4. Leadership and Mentorship Lead BIM coordination meetings and provide clear guidance to team members. Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical and professional skills. 5. Project-Specific Coordination ACollaborate with project stakeholders to ensure BIM processes align with project requirements and objectives. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of project-specific BIM standards and practices. Qualifications and Skills Expected Educational Background Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Technical Proficiency Expertise in BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks, BIM 360, or Revizto. Strong understanding of BIM workflows and integration techniques. Personal Attributes Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration. Leadership capabilities to guide and mentor team members. Advanced problem-solving skills to address technical challenges. Preferred Knowledge Prior academic experience with BIM software is an advantage. Certification in BIM tools will be beneficial.
