As an individual collaborating closely with other teams, customers, and partners at Verisk, your role involves establishing best-in-class data modeling standards, guiding data persistence practices, defining canonical structures, and ensuring seamless integration with policy administration systems and related downstream applications. The ideal candidate for this position combines deep P&C industry knowledge with hands-on technical expertise across various areas such as data modeling, databases, React-based UI integration, REST API design, and cloud-native architecture. Responsibilities: - Design, evolve, and maintain a canonical insurance data model (CIDM) supporting ISO ERC, carrier products, and custom extensions. - Define standards for data capture, persistence, normalization, and extensibility aligning with the FAST P&C Platform's architecture. - Architect effective dating, versioning, and historical tracking strategies across various insurance elements. - Model complex insurance relationships including various linkages and policy structures. - Establish best practices for highly extensible model design. - Define technical architecture for integration with downstream systems and optimize relational schemas. - Partner with developers to build .NET-based services implementing business logic and data access patterns. - Define and maintain REST API contracts for secure data interchange. - Establish data governance frameworks, naming standards, and data quality controls. - Drive compliance with ISO updates and carrier-specific filings through mapping rules. - Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust data structures. - Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and foster innovation within the team. Qualifications: - 8+ years of experience in data architecture, modeling, and solution design in the P&C insurance domain. - Deep understanding of policy, product, coverage, and forms data structures. - Expertise in canonical data models, complex hierarchies, and effective dating/versioning. - Experience with major policy administration platforms and SQL databases. - Hands-on experience with .NET, React, and REST API design. - Practical experience with AWS cloud services.
