Data Warehouse Engineer

Role Overview: You have an exciting opportunity to join as an experienced developer of large-scale data solutions at a company that has celebrated 30 years in business and is trusted by global brands. You will be part of a team delivering a transformative cloud-hosted data platform for a key customer. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics for enterprise-level analytics and reporting needs. - Build efficient Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) or Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) pipelines using Azure Data Factory, conduct thorough data validation, and support Business Intelligence (BI) reporting initiatives. - Proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation, dimensional data modeling, and optimizing analytical performance. - Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. - Develop scalable and re-usable frameworks for ingestion and transformation of large data sets. - Integrate end-to-end data pipeline to ensure data quality and consistency. - Collaborate with the project team to support delivery of additional project components. - Evaluate tools against customer requirements and work within Agile delivery methodology for proof of concept and production implementation. Qualification Required: - 3-5 years of experience in DWH implementation with Databricks experience. - Hands-on experience with Azure, Azure Synapse Analytics, Spark, SQL Server, and APIs. - Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. - Bachelors or master's degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field. - Desired skills include knowledge of business intelligence solutions like Power BI and data governance principles.
