About the role
Senior Production Analyst

- Position Overview
The Senior Production Analyst is responsible for driving data-driven production control, performance analysis, and continuous improvement across HVAC manufacturing operations (FWU, Chillers, Thermal Solutions). The role plays a critical part in ensuring plan vs actual adherence, loss reduction, and operational efficiency in a high-demand production environment.
- Key Responsibilities A. Production Performance Management
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production performance against plan
Ensure adherence to production schedules and dispatch commitments
Analyze variances and highlight risks to output achievement
B. Loss Analysis & OEE Improvement
Lead loss-time analysis (function-wise: Purchase, HR, Maintenance, etc.)
Drive OEE improvement initiatives across production lines
Conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for downtime, quality issues, and productivity gaps
Track and ensure closure of all Tier-1 / Tier-2 action items
C. Data Analytics & Reporting
Develop and maintain MIS dashboards and production reports
Track key KPIs:
OEE
Line efficiency
Throughput
Rejections / rework
Provide real-time insights for decision-making
Use tools like Excel, Power BI, ERP (SAP) for reporting and analytics
D. Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as a central coordination point between:
Production (FWU / Chillers)
Planning
Quality
Maintenance
Stores & Procurement
Ensure proactive follow-up on:
Material shortages
Quality concerns
Process delays
E. Capacity Planning & Demand Alignment
Support capacity planning and shift utilization
Analyze demand pipeline vs production capability
Identify constraints and recommend corrective actions
Drive planning readiness for new orders / ramp-ups
F. Continuous Improvement & Digitization
Lead Lean / Kaizen / Six Sigma initiatives
Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction
Drive digitization of production tracking systems
Improve data accuracy and reporting cadence
G. Governance & Reviews
Prepare and present insights in:
Tier-2 meetings
Monthly production reviews
Management review forums
Ensure accountability tracking for all action plans

Capacity vs demand analysis
OEE improvement roadmap

- Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
4–8 years of experience in HVAC / manufacturing industry (preferably Vertiv-like environment)
Prior experience in production analytics, shopfloor operations
- Required Skills
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI
Knowledge of:
OEE
Lean manufacturing
Root cause analysis tools
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic production setup
- KPIs / Success Metrics
Production plan adherence (%)
Reduction in total loss hours
Improvement in OEE and line efficiency
Timely closure of Tier-2 actions
Accuracy and timeliness of reporting
Reduction in escalations
- Preferred Skills
Experience in FWU, Chiller, or Thermal Management systems
Exposure to Oracle or similar ERP
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 / digital manufacturing tools
