Job Description: Role Overview: As a database developer at ViaPlus, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of database systems that support information systems. Your role will involve studying operations, designing, developing, and installing software solutions, as well as providing support and guidance to the software team. Key Responsibilities: - Implement business logic using Triggers, Indexes, Views, and Stored procedures. - Design and develop databases based on thorough understanding of business logic. - Work with large data sets and database volumes while optimizing database performance, ensuring data security, access controls, and monitoring database health. - Develop high-quality database solutions and manage large-scale database systems. - Utilize advanced query concepts such as group by, having clause, and union. - Develop complex database code using T-SQL, SSRS, and SQL Server following best practices. - Write Stored Procedures, UDF, and Triggers with strong proficiency in Transact-SQL. - Tune T-SQL queries to enhance database performance and availability. - Monitor server performance using SQL Profiler, Index Tuning Wizard, and Windows Performance Monitor. - Create and update Clustered and Non-Clustered Indexes to maintain SQL Server performance. - Normalize and De-normalize tables and maintain Referential Integrity using Triggers. Qualifications: - Any Graduate with B.E/B.Tech, MCA, or equivalent degree with more than 2.5+ years of relevant work experience. - Minimum 2+ years of experience in database development in a large enterprise environment. - Proficiency in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). - Expertise in Database Design, Development & Support of MS SQL Server. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills. - Familiarity with SQL Server 2008/2005/2000 for Production/development. - Experience with OLTP systems and database design/modeling. - Working Knowledge of SQL 2012 is an added advantage.
