Vehicle Chief Engineer

Learn more at: https://vinfastauto.com . Lead cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of electric scooter and e-bike programs, from concept to production. Own overall vehicle system integration including battery pack, electric motor, controller, BMS, chassis/frame, and vehicle electronics. Plan, direct, and control engineering activities to ensure products meet program targets for timing, cost, Quality, and performance. Manage engineering deliverables across the product development process (PDP) and ensure alignment across internal teams, suppliers, and Engineering Service Partners. Oversee preparation and release of engineering documentation to support tooling, sourcing, validation, and production launch. Ensure compliance with electric two-wheeler regulations, safety standards, and market requirements. Manage engineering resources, program budgets, and team workload to achieve project milestones. Lead design reviews, program reviews, and technical discussions with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Coach and develop engineering team members and support recruitment of technical talent. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). More than 15 years of engineering experience in automotive, EV, or electric two-wheeler product development. Strong knowledge of electric powertrain systems including battery packs, motors, controllers, and vehicle electronics. 8–10 years of leadership experience managing cross-functional engineering teams and vehicle development programs. Experience delivering products through complete development lifecycle (concept validation production launch). Familiarity with electric two-wheeler regulations and homologation requirements is preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced development environments.
