About the role
Identify New Suppliers. Research and identify potential suppliers capable of machining, forging, and various casting processes. Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacities, and quality systems. Analysis of Supplier Technical Capability. Conduct technical assessments of new and existing suppliers. Evaluate supplier processes, equipment, and technical competencies. Flow Down of Technical Requirements. Ensure clear communication and understanding of technical requirements with suppliers. Define and document technical specifications and standards for supplier processes. Support Source Selection Participate in joint technical reviews with suppliers during sourcing and part development phases. Collaborate with sourcing teams to select the most capable suppliers. Part Development with Suppliers. Work alongside suppliers throughout the part development life cycle. Provide technical guidance and support to ensure parts meet design and quality requirements. Coordination with Quality Assurance Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance to establish inspection criteria and ensure part/process approval. Support quality inspections and approvals of supplier parts and processes. Issue Resolution and Technical Support. Identify and resolve technical issues during supplier part development.
