Role Overview: As a Data Modeler at Virtusa, you will be required to have 6 years of experience in DW BI Projects. Your main responsibilities will include developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, implementing RDBMS, operational data store (ODS), data marts, and data lakes on target platforms. You should also have experience in Azure ADF, Azure Synapse, Blob storage, and other Azure Native Data Services. Your role will involve normalization/denormalization concepts, metadata management, and data governance. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting data analysis, data quality mining/investigations, and producing data quality metrics. Key Responsibilities: - Developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models - Implementing RDBMS, ODS, data marts, and data lakes on target platforms - Working on Azure ADF, Azure Synapse, Blob storage, and other Azure Native Data Services - Hands-on experience in SQL & Query optimization for RDBMS and Data Warehouse - Understanding slowly moving dimensional Datawarehouse such as star schema and kimball dimensional data modelling - Translating business requirements into functional requirements and creating solutions - Creating entity relationship diagrams for relational systems and dimensional diagrams for Data Warehouse, Data Marts, and data cubes - Analyzing existing data models and identifying potential issues - Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system - Working on cloud databases, data warehouses, RDBMS, and NoSQL Qualifications Required: - 6 years of experience in DW BI Projects - 4-5 years of minimum experience in developing data models - Experience in Azure ADF, Azure Synapse, Blob storage, and other Azure Native Data Services - Strong hands-on experience in SQL & Query optimization - Knowledge of dimensional modeling (star schema, kimball dimensional data modelling) - Experience with data modeling tools (e.g. ErWin, Power Designer) - Understanding of data quality, metadata, and governance needs If you are interested in this role, kindly connect on LinkedIn or inbox your resume to amisettyd@virtusa.com.
