About the role
As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for the following: - Conducting functional testing using various fundamentals such as exploratory testing, requirement-based testing, equivalence partitioning, boundary-value analysis, decision tables, and BDD authoring. - Implementing BDD frameworks like Cucumber, SpecFlow, Reqnroll, pytest-bdd, and Behave for clean Given/When/Then authoring without leaking implementation details. - Performing API automation with expertise in handling REST and JSON, utilizing tools like RestAssured, Karate, Postman+Newman, Playwright API, pytest with httpx/requests, and having awareness of OpenAPI/Swagger. - Executing UI automation using tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium WebDriver/Selenide, WebdriverIO, focusing on locator strategy, explicit waits, page-object/screenplay patterns, and cross-browser basics. - Managing test data efficiently through fixtures, factories, and masking basics, and having experience with Testcontainers or similar ephemeral data stores. - Utilizing reporting and test management tools such as Allure, ReportPortal, ExtentReports, and understanding the ticket lifecycle and traceability in Jira along with Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail. - Demonstrating awareness of contract testing (Pact), mobile testing (Appium), accessibility testing (axe-core/Lighthouse), and non-functional testing layers like JMeter/k6, with a willingness to develop expertise in these areas. You will work towards growing your skills in the mentioned testing areas and contribute to the overall quality assurance process.
