Key Responsibilities Lead development of a global trading portal Replace legacy C# desktop applications with modern web-based UIs Build scalable microservices-driven frontend applications Collaborate with Algo Trading developers and cross-functional teams Support Agile delivery and automated testing practices Core Skills Required Strong frontend expertise in React JavaScript / TypeScript Experience with Microservices architecture Real-time data streaming (WebSockets) AWS / Cloud platforms High-performance UI engineering Capital markets or trading platform experience is highly valued What Makes This Role Interesting This is not a generic UI developer role. It is positioned within Macquarie’s electronic equities trading technology stack, which means low-latency UI engineering, real-time market data visualization, event-driven architecture, high-volume transactional systems, enterprise-grade frontend modernization. Primary skills – JavaScript / TypeScript (React) – Experience with WYSIWYG(Tiptap, TinyMCE or similar) or Word-like editing interfaces – Experience with charting libraries (Chart.js, D3.js or similar) • The rest of the skills mentioned are good to have and will be considered secondary.
