Building Energy Design Engineer 3D Modelling, Energy Design & Technical Support, Responsible for independent projects, Energy demand calculation, preparation of funding applications. POSITION AT A GLANCE Company: Viviania Energy and Technology India Pvt Ltd Role: Building Energy Design Engineer Location: Kochi, Kerala, India; Work from Office (WFO) Contract type: 1-Year Contract with strong potential for full-time conversion Experience: 3-5 years Education: Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or related field (mandatory) Working hours: Regular shift 5 days a week in Office THE OPPORTUNITY This is a founding role for Viviania's Kochi office. You will be the senior technical person on the ground, responsible for your own deliverables. You will work closely with the MD of Kochi Operations & Head of Technical Operations, providing 3D modelling, technical drawings, and project documentation support for Viviania's energy consulting projects. This is not a backoffice execution role. We are looking for someone who brings intellectual ownership to their work, asks the right questions, flags issues early, and takes pride in the quality of what they deliver. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop detailed 3D models of residential and commercial buildings for energy consulting and renovation planning projects using BIM tool called Hottgenroth. Produce energy calculation related documentation in line with German regulations and Viviania quality benchmarks. Support energy simulation workflows by preparing accurate building geometry models for analysis in Hottgenroth software. Perform model reviews, and coordinate revisions based on feedback from the engineering team in Germany. Translate project briefs, sketches, and design intent from German consultants into precise, constructionready 3D models and documentation. Technical Support for the German Team. Act as the primary Indiaside technical point of contact for the Viviania Germany engineering team during Kochi office hours. Prepare project reports, thermal bridge calculations, heat load calculations, area calculations, Life Cycle Assessment Report, Resource Pass, Accessibility assessment, Life Cycle Cost calculations, quantity estimates, specifications, and technical summaries as required by the Germany team for client deliverables. Join regular video calls and design review sessions with colleagues in Germany; give clear, structured updates on progress, blockers, and delivery timelines. Assist in the preparation of funding applications (Foerderantrag) by supplying the required technical documentation and building data. Adapt quickly to different project types new builds, renovations, heritage properties as Viviania's project mix demands. Independent Working & Communication. Manage your own priorities and deadlines with a high degree of autonomy as the German team works in CET and cannot supervise in real time. Maintain clear written communication at all times: project status, risks, decisions made independently, and items needing Germany signoff. Build and maintain a productive working relationship with the Germany team across time zones and cultures.
