Manager - Design

Lead the Design and Engineering team of VKBS fulfilling a leadership role within the team and providing technical leadership. Responsibilities include managing a team of Design Engineers who will be based out of various branch offices and site offices of VKBS Responsible for design and value engineering of various MEP services such as HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting, PHE and ELV systems. Should have in-depth design knowledge in at HVAC + one more discipline out of the balance 4 and good understanding in the balance disciplines to effectively manage an integrated design delivery of complete MEP scope. Working knowledge of relevant MEP building services software including design, analysis and documentation software apart from Autocad and BIM Co-ordinate with project and planning teams and obtain site inputs Responsible for preparation and subsequently obtaining approval of shop drawings from consultants and coordination with Architects, Consultants, PMC, client in association with the Project Lead. Attend design meeting(s) as required. Responsible for preparation and adherence to design schedule in line with the overall project schedule Responsible for quantity take off. Ensure that design quantities are optimised and be aware of the comparison between BOQ quantities/sizes vis- -vis design quantities/sizes to ensure an optimal design solution. Responsible for review of design status with the team members and updation of the same in trackers on realtime basis. Responsible for preparation of As Built Drawings as per the inputs from the site team through the Project Lead. Responsible for preserving As Built Drawings for a minimum period of 10 years. Travel as necessary to meet stake holders at various locations.
