About the role
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Vantage Point Solutions is a customer-focused engineering and consulting firm helping clients solve complex infrastructure challenges. They are seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst who will be responsible for monitoring network activity, managing tickets, and communicating with stakeholders. The role involves incident triage, ticket management, and ensuring effective communication during outages and maintenance.ResponsibilitiesCommunicate clearly and professionally with customers, engineers, vendors, and internal stakeholdersMonitor broadband service provider networks using network monitoring systems and respond to alarms, alerts, and outagesCreate, update, and manage tickets while documenting troubleshooting steps, customer communication, and resolution details Implement network changes and upgradesPerform initial triage and basic troubleshooting of network issues related to routing, switching, access, and service availabilityEscalate issues to internal teams or vendors following established proceduresWork rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysTrack incidents through resolution and ensure proper ticket closure and documentationSupport customer notifications and outage communicationsFollow established procedures, runbooks, and escalation workflowsAssist during scheduled maintenance by monitoring performance and validating system statusMaintain accurate records of incidents, activity, and customer interactionsParticipate in shift handoffs with team members to provide awareness of ongoing ticketsDeliver operational accountability by ensuring all alarms, incidents, and reported issues are promptly investigated, communicated, and resolved according to established processesSkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBasic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)Experience or familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systemsStrong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentationAbility to follow structured processes and escalation proceduresCustomer-focused mindset with professionalism under pressureAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work shift-based schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidaysMust be authorized to work in the United StatesExperience in a NOC, help desk, ISP, or managed services environmentExperience supporting broadband or telecommunications networksExperience with ScienceLogic SL1 is a plusExperience with HaloPSA ticketing/service management platform is a plusCompTIA Network+, Cisco CCST, Juniper JNCIA, or equivalent is preferredBenefitsMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceDisability insurance401(k) planRemote (any location)Rotating shift-based 2-week schedule with alternating workdays and days off, including weekend and holiday coverageEmployees work every other weekend as part of the rotationCompany OverviewVantage Point is a premier engineering and consulting firm serving the broadband, energy, enterprise, and banking industries.
