z System ISV Infrastructure Software Engineer About the Company Overview Experienced z System ISV Infrastructure Software Engineer About the Role Requirements zOS background is mandatory SME-level knowledge of the installation/administration/support process starting with SMP/E and z/OSMF through the removal of software compo nents.Demonstrated knowledge and fully proficient in the use of TSO and ISPF.Demonstrated knowledge of z/OS, primary operations console operations and com mands.Demonstrated understanding of JCL and ability to create and modify JCL job st reams.Demonstrated understanding of z/OS dataset configurations and the ability to properly allocate various dataset configura tions.Demonstrated understanding of the catalog pr ocess.Has responsibility and capability to work multi-platforms including z/OS, LINUX, and Wi ndows.Experience working with all types of z/OS file types and file systems Including PDS/PDSE and VSAM.Practical understanding of SMPE and how to u se it.Experience with zFS including allocation and related Unix commands to manage the space.Experience working with ITSM processes including Incidents, Change and related proc esses.Familiarity with Configuration Manager a plus.Ability to work independ ently.Interprets policies and applies exper ience.Ability to work as a team player in both a partner role and mentor as approp riate.Experience working with Vendors to create/manage support tickets including describing the issues, gathering, packaging and uploading documentation and follow up as n eeded.Fully proficient on use of enterprise z System monitoring tools:Ome gamonoMa invi ewT MONMXG Splunk 15+ years of mainframe systems software experience, with specific concentration in the area of Independent Software Vendor (ISV) z Platform system software installation, configuration, and administration, working in a large z Systems environment (90,000+ MIPs, Multiple LPARs, Multiple Sy sPlex):Multiple Parallel SysPlex config uration DB2PlexC ICSPlexMultiple physical z Systems m achinesMultiple Production LPAR envi ronmentGeneral Processors / zIIP Pro cessors Ability to use AI tools to analyze data and provide recommendations and implement so lutions.Ability to use M365 Copilot AI to recap meetings and draft emails.Ability to stay educated in the role of AI for an IMS System Pro grammer.Proven ability to cover the 24x7 on-call r otation.Available for the on-call frequencies based on te am size.Ability to work in an atmosphere with heightened pressure and visible to all levels of Lea dership.Ability to work effectively in an Incident War Room scenario partnering with other teams on the initial root cause determ ination.Ability to follow all processes and procedures in this envi ronment.
