Automation Test Engineer (IC Role) Distributed | South Delhi (Panchsheel Enclave), India | Onsite (Mon- Friday, 5 Days) Experience: 1-4 Years Type: Full-time | Startup Environment Domain: Services + Product Development About Us We are a product design and development company working with global clients and building our own AI-driven products. We operate in a fast-paced startup setting where ownership, accountability, and adaptability matter more than rigid processes. What is the Role We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer who can contribute independently to ensuring product quality across client projects and in-house products. This is an Individual Contributor role suitable for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning quickly, and working in a startup environment with evolving requirements. What You Will Be Doing - Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications - Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to understand requirements - Identify bugs, track issues, and ensure timely resolution - Contribute to improving test processes and automation practices - Support release testing and sprint-based delivery cycles - Perform manual testing where automation coverage is not feasible - Ensure quality standards across services projects and internal products What You Bring - 1-4 years of experience in Automation Testing - Hands-on experience with automation tools such as: Selenium / Playwright / Cypress TestNG / Jest / Mocha (any one preferred) - Basic to intermediate understanding of API testing (Postman preferred) - Experience testing responsive web applications - Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies - Familiarity with Git and basic CI/CD concepts - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Good communication and ownership mindset - Comfortable working in a startup culture with flexibility and responsibility Bonus Points - Exposure to product-based or startup environments - Basic understanding of mobile application testing - Experience with AI-driven or SaaS-based platforms - Knowledge of performance or security testing basics .
