Job Description Android Camera Developer (Embedded / Automotive) Role: Android Camera Developer Experience: 35 Years Location: Bangalore Work Mode: Work From Office (5 Days a Week) Company: Embdes Engineering Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Role Summary We are looking for an Android Camera Developer to build and integrate camera features for Android-based EV instrument cluster and connected vehicle platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Camera2/CameraX, Android framework, AOSP, and production-level debugging on embedded Android devices. Experience working with Camera HAL, media framework, and automotive camera use cases will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain Android camera applications using Camera2 and CameraX . - Integrate camera features such as reverse camera, side-view camera, DVR, and HMI alerts . - Work across the Android application, framework, Camera HAL, media stack, and BSP layers. - Optimize camera performance, including boot time, startup latency, frame rate, memory usage, power consumption, and thermal behavior . - Debug camera, media, and system issues using ADB, Logcat, Perfetto, and Systrace . - Collaborate with BSP, kernel, ISP, and hardware teams for camera sensor integration and bring-up. - Support automotive use cases including suspend/resume, ignition cycles, long-duration stability, and production validation . - Participate in CTS/VTS validation, bug fixing, and release activities. Required Skills - 35 years of Android application/platform development experience using Java/Kotlin . - Strong hands-on experience with Camera2 API and/or CameraX . - Experience with AOSP , Android build system ( Soong/Make ), and embedded Android platforms. - Positive understanding of Android media framework and camera architecture. - Strong debugging skills using ADB, Logcat, Perfetto, Systrace , and crash analysis tools. - Ability to independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex camera-related .
