Responsibilities

• This internship within the DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team provides highly motivated and qualified students the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in modern software delivery, platform reliability, and operational excellence.

• Gain first‑hand exposure to DevOps and SRE practices, including how reliable systems are designed, built, deployed, operated, and continuously improved across on‑premises platforms and cloud‑based applications• Learn how DevOps and SRE work together to enable fast, safe software delivery while maintaining high standards for reliability, scalability, performance, and security• Collaborate with development, operations, and platform teams to learn and apply best practices for CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, monitoring, observability, and reliability engineering• Gain exposure to enterprise‑scale systems and interact with engineers, managers, and senior leaders to better understand the intersection of technology, operations, and business within the insurance industry• Build a strong understanding of the end‑to‑end technology stack, including networking, storage, operating systems, virtualization, databases, applications, and cloud services• Observe, monitor, troubleshoot, and automate activities within the Berkley environment to support platform reliability and operational excellence

• Highly motivated student seeking hands‑on experience in modern software delivery and platform reliability• Interest in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices• Interest in learning CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, monitoring, observability, and reliability engineering concepts• Interest in gaining exposure to enterprise‑scale systems and the intersection of technology, operations, and business within the insurance industry• Interest in developing an understanding of end‑to‑end technology stacks, including networking, storage, operating systems, virtualization, databases, applications, and cloud services

Education Requirement

• Current student status (internship/co‑op role)
