About the role
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer EIT/Designer to join their team. In this role, you will design, develop, and support mechanical systems for a variety of construction projects. The position requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to work with different project teams. Key Responsibilities Design mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing systems.
Work with architects and other engineering teams to coordinate mechanical system designs.
Perform load calculations and energy efficiency evaluations to improve system performance and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Review project requirements, proposals, and technical reports.
Support the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems on-site to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and applicable regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasis from an ABET-accredited program.

Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or able to pass the FE exam within 6 months of hire.

Minimum of 2 years of mechanical design experience in the construction industry.

Proficient in Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Word.

Experience with HVAC load design software is a plus.

Working knowledge of building, energy, mechanical, and plumbing codes.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
