About the role
Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to drive the design and development of advanced electrical systems supporting aerospace test equipment. This role focuses on delivering reliable, high-performance solutions across the full project lifecycle, from concept through implementation, while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Design electrical systems including 115VAC and 480VAC motor-driven circuits
Develop control panels and data acquisition/test systems for complex equipment
Create schematics and technical documentation
Lead design reviews and support cross-functional engineering efforts
Troubleshoot system issues using standard diagnostic tools and root cause analysis
Support PCB, FPGA, PLC, and embedded system development and integration
Ensure adherence to NEC and applicable safety standards
Assist with system validation, manufacturing processes, and mechanical integration
Qualifications

6+ years of electrical engineering experience in system design environments

Strong understanding of control systems, feedback loops, and instrumentation (e.g., thermocouples, RTDs, pressure sensors)

Experience with test equipment, data acquisition, and debugging tools (oscilloscopes, meters, analyzers)

Exposure to PCB design, embedded systems, PLCs, or firmware development

Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as SMT and soldering

Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 standards

Experience with LabVIEW, VeriStand, or similar tools

Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, C++)

Proficiency with Visio and standard office tools
