POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Designer is a key role for experienced professionals with a minimum of 8 years of fire sprinkler system design experience and demonstrated senior-level design expertise. This role involves leading complex projects, mentoring junior designers, and providing oversight to ensure high-quality design deliverables. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Lead the design and certification of complex fire sprinkler, standpipe, and fire pump systems in compliance with applicable codes

Provide accurate and thorough material stock lists

Produce clear, easy-to-read drawings for field staff

Train and mentor junior designers, including Design Associates and Designers

Stay current with industry standards, codes, and emerging technologies

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to align design work with project objectives

Obtain AHJ approval prior to field installation

Demonstrate knowledge of and support for the company's mission, vision, standards, policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and code of ethical behavior

Perform other duties as assigned by management related to the fundamental aspects of the position

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD required

NICET Level II with demonstrated senior-level design experience

Minimum of 8 years in fire sprinkler design or NICET Level III

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

Flexibility to work varying hours based on project needs

Personable, customer-focused approach with proactive problem-solving skills

Ability to comply with all federal and state regulations

Adherence to all company and departmental policies and procedures

Openness to constructive feedback and continuous improvement

Sound judgment and maturity when handling challenging situations

Proficiency in spoken and written English

Reliable attendance and dependability

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
