Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer

Our Client is seeking a Senior HVAC/Mechanical Engineer to lead and support the engineering team on commercial HVAC design projects. This role is responsible for reviewing system designs, ensuring code compliance, improving constructability, and aligning engineered solutions with project budgets and performance goals. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor HVAC design staff

Review and approve HVAC system designs before release

Verify load calculations, equipment sizing, layouts, and energy performance

Coordinate with sales, estimating, project management, and building automation teams

Ensure designs meet code requirements, budget targets, and installation needs

Support design revisions, field coordination, and technical problem-solving

Help establish engineering standards and quality control practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience

• 10+ years of commercial HVAC design experience

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong skills in AutoCAD and Revit

• Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, building automation, energy modeling, and applicable codes

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and contract documents

• Strong communication, organization, and Microsoft Office skills
