Senior MEP Drafter / Designer Location: Doral, FL (On-site)Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Drafter/Designer to join its growing engineering team in Doral, Florida. This position is responsible for producing high-quality Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings while coordinating with engineers and project teams to deliver accurate, construction-ready documentation. The ideal candidate will have 5-15+ years of MEP drafting/design experience, strong proficiency in AutoCAD, experience with Revit, and a solid understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Key Responsibilities MEP Drafting & Design Develop detailed Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.

Produce accurate construction documents based on engineering markups and design intent.

Prepare permit drawings, as-built drawings, and project documentation.

Maintain organized drawing files throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordination Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across multiple disciplines.

Support BIM coordination activities.

Identify and help resolve design conflicts and clashes.

Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project teams.

Quality Control Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and code compliance.

Revise drawings based on engineer feedback, client comments, and field conditions.

Ensure all deliverables meet project standards and deadlines.

Project Support Assist with construction documentation.

Support project permitting and submittal packages.

Manage multiple drafting assignments simultaneously.

Maintain drafting standards and documentation consistency.

Required Qualifications 5-15+ years of MEP drafting or design experience.

Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Experience with Revit (strongly preferred).

Solid understanding of: HVAC Systems

Electrical Systems

Plumbing Systems

Experience preparing commercial and/or residential construction documents.

Knowledge of building codes and drafting standards.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for an engineering consulting firm or construction company.

• Experience with BIM coordination.

• Familiarity with Navisworks.

• Experience managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
