Electrical Engineer

Role & responsibilities: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the detailed design of HV/LV power distribution systems (up to 66 kV) in line with project specifications. This role includes delivering various electrical engineering calculations and inquiry specifications including data sheet for different types of electrical equipment such as power (Above 5 MVA) / distribution transformer (Up to 2.5 MVA), HV / LV cables, HV / LV switchboards, APFC, DG, AC / DC UPS, lightning risk assessment and earthing system. Also he must have knowledge of preparing SLDs for control and protection scheme. He must have good knowledge for lighting, power tray, earthing and substation equipment layout and Solving site queries. The engineer ensures compliance with industry standards while managing offer evaluations, TBE (Technical Bid Evaluation), and MFC. The engineer must have thorough knowledge for reviewing manufacturers documents for transformer, HV / LV motors, power / control cable, earthing, lighting fixture, UPS and battery systems effectively. Knowledge of ETAP is preferred for system modeling and analysis. Proficiency in Dialux (4.13) / Evo lighting calculations is essential. Conversant with standards such as IS, NBC and IEC is essential. Knowledge of IEEE, NEC and NFPA guidelines is added advantage. Knowledge of cathodic protection and electric heat tracing has added advantage Preferred candidate profile: Well conversant with Indian & International standards (IS, IEEE, IEC, NEC, etc.). Conversant with the detailed design of HT/LT power distribution systems. Independently able to review sub-vendor drawings (Transformer, MV/LV Switchboards, Bus ducts, MV/LV VFD, MV/LV Cables, etc.) and prepare various engineering calculations (Cable sizing, Earthing, Lightning protection, Lighting, fault level calculations, relay setting, Transformer sizing, etc.) independently. Independently able to review various engineering layouts like Cable tray layout, Earthing & Lightning protection layout, Illumination layout, Substation layout, SLD, etc. Knowledge of ETAP is preferred. Hands-on experience in lighting calculations in DiaLux. Knowledge for Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL) is added advantage Willing to travel overseas for short/medium stay deputation (3-6 months). Able to guide & interact independently with a team of draftsmen/designers. Well conversant in written & spoken communications Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E/B.Tech preferred). 10-15 years of experience in electrical design engineering and power distribution systems. Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
