For more information, please visit our website at www.walter-tools.com. As a Process Engineer Machining Process Solution at Walter Tools India Pvt. Ltd., you will report to the Engineering Manager. Your role will involve leveraging your strong CAM and machining process expertise to deliver competitive and value-adding engineered solutions to customers within Walter Machining Process Solutions (MPS). By identifying, developing, and executing MPS projects tailored for the Indian market, you will play a key role in reducing customer total manufacturing costs and supporting sustainable aftermarket and service sales growth. Collaboration with Sales, customers, internal Engineering, and the global MPS network will be essential for driving sales growth and successful project execution. PROFILE & MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical/production engineering with a minimum of 5-6 years of experience, or Diploma with 7-8 years of experience in machining process engineering, CAM, or application engineering - Identify customer projects aligning with the MPS service portfolio and actively support MPS services sales - Independently plan, lead, manage, and execute customer projects following defined MPS service steps and processes - Develop project and process concepts in collaboration with Sales to meet customer needs - Produce and optimize CAM programs, machining strategies, and tooling concepts for customer projects, trainings, and testing - Act as a technical liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and customers for correct implementation of tooling and process solutions - Involve global MPS experts for larger or more complex projects as needed - Complete structured documentation throughout the project lifecycle - Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including process modifications during production - Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues during and after project implementation - Support process ramp-up, stabilization, and follow-up activities - Actively share best practices within the MPS organization related to application, machining, CAM, and process solutions - Maintain direct communication with Sales, customers, and strategic contacts - High travel readiness within India to support customers on-site COMPETENCIES: - Very strong CAM expertise mandatory Siemens NX required - Experience with CATIA highly preferred; additional CAM systems advantageous - Experience with VERICUT is beneficial - High level of CAD/CAM knowledge including multi-axis machining - Extensive knowledge of cutting tool applications, machining strategies, and process optimization - Strong NC programming skills and project management experience - Solid understanding of CNC machine tools and controllers - Structured, disciplined working style with adherence to defined MPS processes and standards - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Good communication skills, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong interpersonal abilities - English language skills: minimum B2 level (CEFR) or equivalent - Service- and customer-oriented mindset with the ability to offer paid engineering services In this role, your primary function will be to create comprehensive machining and tooling solutions within the MPS framework, identify and execute suitable customer projects, and manage them to successful completion. You will serve as a crucial technical interface between customers, Sales, Engineering, and global MPS resources, ensuring timely and valuable project delivery.
