About the role
As a Data Engineering Manager, your role will involve leading and managing a team to deliver high-quality data solutions. You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of data engineering projects on different cloud platforms, ensuring successful execution within deadlines and budget requirements. Developing and maintaining data governance frameworks for data quality, security, and compliance will be a key responsibility. Your Key Responsibilities will include: - Partnering with the Data Governance team to implement Master Data Management (MDM) solutions for data consistency and accuracy. - Developing and maintaining data catalogs to facilitate data discovery and usage. - Ensuring robust data security measures are in place to protect sensitive information. - Designing and implementing canonical data models to standardize data across the organization. - Leading ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading into data warehouses and data lakes. - Managing data migration projects to ensure data integrity and minimal downtime. - Overseeing data integration efforts to combine data from different sources into a unified view. - Implementing data orchestration tools to automate and manage data workflows and pipelines. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. - Providing mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering their professional growth and development. - Presenting data architecture, roadmap, plans, status, and risks to various stakeholders, including higher management. Additionally, you will need the following Qualifications & Experiences: - Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 8 years of experience with data platforms, cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and big data technologies. - Extensive experience with AWS services, Snowflake, and its ecosystem. - Executive leadership experience in data management, analytics, or platform leadership within a large and complex organization. - Proficiency in data warehousing, ETL processes, data integration, and analytics tools. - Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Proven leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams across multiple locations and disciplines. - Experience in the Media and Entertainment industry is preferred. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of an organization. - Experience in transforming traditional business operations through data services and automation. - Recognized thought leader in the field of data management, with contributions to industry discussions, publications, or conferences.
