As a Staff Software Engineer at Warner Bros. Discovery in Bangalore, you will be leading data platform and pipeline, data strategy, and data visualization-related efforts. You will work on projects from requirements gathering to planning to implementation of full-stack data solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure proper representation of business logic in the semantic layer and production environments. Here are some key responsibilities: - Partner with Product stakeholders to understand business questions and build advanced analytical solutions. - Build a deep understanding of the digital streaming service and optimize the technical ecosystem. - Practice infrastructure-as-code, data streaming pipeline, data lake management, Database, Analytics, and Dashboarding. - Provide guidance on design, coding, and operational best practices. - Propose and establish best practices where needed. - Make high impact decisions driving software development. - Design and implement data models supporting flexible querying and data visualization. - Create systematic solutions for solving data anomalies. - Identify and explore new opportunities through analytical and engineering methods. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's, Master's, or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics. - 913 years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Platform Engineering, or related domains. - Proven track record in architecting, scaling, and operating enterprise-grade data platforms. - Deep expertise in transforming complex data sources into trusted, governed datasets. - Strong programming expertise in Python and/or Go. - Hands-on experience with modern data and streaming technologies. - Advanced proficiency in semantic modeling, business intelligence, and analytics enablement. - Strong expertise in cloud-native infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code. - Experience with enterprise analytics and data exploration platforms. - Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals and AI-driven decision-support systems. - Demonstrated ability to lead technical architecture decisions and influence data strategy.
