About the role
Role Overview: As an Engineer joining the Indian office/subsidiary of WatchGuard, you will be part of the R&D center in NCR India, contributing to the development of next-generation security services for the AWS cloud. You will work in a startup-like environment with the backing of a mature global organization, collaborating with various teams to build cutting-edge solutions for WatchGuard Cloud. Key Responsibilities: - Design and build fault-tolerant and failsafe platform and services for WatchGuard Cloud suite of applications, ensuring SLAs up to 99.999. - Foster collaboration, transparency, innovation, and fun within the team. - Collaborate with globally distributed teams to deliver on priorities and commitments. - Enhance cloud delivery model (CI/CD) and contribute to security model improvements. - Focus on making development more efficient, prioritized, and enjoyable. Qualification Required: Your experience should demonstrate: - Ability to build cloud services using multiple programming languages and databases with a minimum of 5+ years of work experience. - Proficiency in primary languages like Python, GOLang, Java, and secondary languages like C++, Scala, C#. - Experience working with databases such as MySQL, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, MSSQL. - Familiarity with AWS services like EC2, ECS, Lambdas, S3, API Gateway, RDS, Aurora, CloudFront, SNS/SQS. - Understanding of Scrum/Agile & DevOps processes with hands-on experience. - Comfort with tools/systems like Jira, GitHub, Confluence, Jenkins, Cloud Formation templates, Artifactory, Linux.
