PHP / Laravel Engineer

Education : B.E. Computer Science/IT degree (or any other engineering discipline) Experience : 3+ years PHP & Laravel framework - Deep expertise in PHP application development across the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, PHP), with hands-on experience designing and developing enterprise-grade applications using Laravel, Symfony, or Zend Framework. Strong knowledge of MVC patterns, service-oriented architecture, dependency injection, REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication and authorization, performance tuning, caching, and security best practices. RDBMS - Experience in relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, and proficiency in writing SQL queries and stored procedures. NoSQL / Solr - Basic understanding of NoSQL concepts, data modeling, and use cases for non-relational databases and Solr. Vue.js / React.js - Understanding of modern UI development concepts and frameworks, with the ability and willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new front-end technologies. Node.js - Working proficiency in Node.js, with understanding of core concepts, server-side application development, and API development. Experience with Node.js is a plus. RESTful Web Services - Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining RESTful web services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and adherence to best practices. Data Formats (JSON/XML) - Proficient in parsing, generating, and manipulating JSON and XML data formats for data exchange and interoperability in web applications. Unit Testing - Experience on writing and executing automated tests with any testing framework to ensure code quality and reliability. Strong unit testing skills to effectively validate the code and catch bugs early in the development cycle, leading to more robust and maintainable software solutions. Microservices Architecture - Understanding of microservices architecture principles and experience in building and deploying microservices-based applications using Java technologies, containers (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes). AI-Powered Development - Proven ability to effectively leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate coding, perform automated code reviews, generate documentation, and explore design alternatives. Design - Understanding business and product requirements, determining possible solutions, designing the chosen solution, documenting it and communicating the same to stakeholders. Implementing & Testing - Developing the code according to the solution, building it and testing it using unit tests and integration tests. Learning to use the various devops tools and processes in the Helios(Infrastructure EcoSystem) platform including - logging, monitoring, multi data center scaling Learning & Mentoring - Technology evolves rapidly, so a willingness to learn new tools and techniques is crucial for staying relevant in the field.
