As a Software Architect at Weekday's client, you will lead the design and evolution of scalable, resilient, and high-performing technology platforms. Your role involves defining architecture strategies, establishing engineering standards, and guiding the development of distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented platforms in alignment with business objectives. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to ensure scalability, maintainability, security, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Define and drive enterprise-wide architecture principles, patterns, standards, and best practices. - Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architectures. - Lead the design of microservices, event-driven architectures, and integration frameworks. - Provide architectural guidance and technical direction to engineering teams. - Partner with product managers and engineering stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Promote adoption of cloud-native development practices, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational excellence. - Create and maintain architecture documentation, design standards, and decision records. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Software Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Technical Leadership. - Strong expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. - Experience in cloud platforms, modern application architectures, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and observability frameworks. - Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, code generation platforms, or AI-enabled engineering workflows. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
