Role Overview: The Consumer Credit team at Wells Fargo is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Consumer Lending Credit Risk team. As a member of this team, your primary role will involve utilizing your strong business knowledge and advanced analytical skills to develop innovative risk management strategies that impact the company's bottom line. This role requires someone who is results-driven, goal-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced working environment. Key Responsibilities: - Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Consumer Lending Credit Risk team, working on large and complex projects with moderate to high risk for the line of business. - Lead significant initiatives and processes, collaborating with line of business management to drive the company's credit culture, appetite, and business performance. - Assess and predict risk and performance through business analysis and modeling, establishing effective policies, processes, and tools to manage risks. - Develop monitoring frameworks, dashboards, and diagnostic evaluations to identify and manage emerging or unexpected risk areas. - Report on asset quality, portfolio trends, credit policy exceptions, and analyze big data to provide actionable insights across various risk analytics initiatives. - Develop and enhance models for managing fraud risk, payment risk, credit bust outs, and credit abuse using advanced analytics approaches. - Ensure resolution of matters requiring attention from outside regulators, Audit, Corporate Model Risk, or internal review teams. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics, or computer sciences. - 4 years of progressive experience in credit and risk analytics roles. - Hands-on experience in at least one area of credit risk analytics, such as credit strategy, modeling techniques, forecasting techniques, or data architecture and management. - Detailed understanding of risk domain, strong risk analytics skills, and understanding of P&L drivers. - Expertise in programming and statistical packages like SAS, SQL, VBA, R, Python, Tableau, and SAS VA. - Knowledge of advanced statistical tools and machine learning techniques. - Ability to lead project teams, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and turn analytical findings into executable plans to meet business objectives. - Strong analytical skills to identify trends, isolate root causes, and provide effective resolutions.
