NOTICE: For Privacy Policy please review here Job Responsibilities: As Software Architect, you’ll be responsible for the technical direction and design vision of software components, services, and applications. You will ensure that designs are coherent, consistent, and aligned with the long-term plan and vision. To be successful as a software architect, you should be an expert problem solver with a strong understanding of the broad range of software technologies and platforms available. In this role, you will contribute code to software systems, with a focus on providing frameworks, components, and infrastructure that helps other developers work efficiently and with high quality output. (AP1) Main Duties Work with technical leads and developers to design solid and efficient technical solutions Build reusable components, frameworks and other tooling that can be leveraged by software engineering teams With the architecture team, collaborate on the vision for a scalable, coherent platform architecture Ensure that all features are designed with appropriate attention to security and data protection considerations Evangelize best practices, ensure clarity of understanding around both deprecated and preferred approaches Introduce and manage tools and processes to support compliance with standards and direction Manage decisions to adopt technologies, libraries, services, or other platform dependencies Ensure that dependencies are managed on an ongoing basis Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience 5+ years' experience in a role with software design responsibility Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Mastery of design best practices for either user interaction, or backend systems Expert knowledge in at least one programming language and relevant professional experience in at least two languages Able to work independently and collaboratively Able to influence others to follow best practices and quality standards Able to communicate design rationale and build consensus Able to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment Able to develop new approaches to complex problems Organized and able to refine ideas into a tangible form Able to work at a computer for extensive periods of time Additional Job Details: Welocalize is a leading technology-enabled provider of translation, localization, and AI-driven content solutions, helping businesses communicate, innovate, and grow globally.
