As a Senior AI & Automation Engineer at WD, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying advanced AI-driven automation solutions across the enterprise. Your main focus will be on building intelligent virtual agents, backend automation services, and scalable integrations using modern AI platforms and frameworks. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality AI solutions that automate workflows and enhance employee experience across different departments such as IT, HR, Procurement, and Operations. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain intelligent chatbots and AI agents using platforms like Moveworks (Agent Studio), Glean (Agents), Microsoft Power Virtual Agents, and similar tools. - Build and manage Python-based automation scripts, backend services, and microservices to support AI-driven workflows. - Implement and optimize LLM-powered solutions, including prompt engineering, conversational design, and contextual reasoning. - Apply agentic AI concepts, including tool usage, multi-step reasoning, orchestration patterns, and Model Context Protocol (MCP). - Develop REST APIs and backend services to integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, Workday, Microsoft 365, and other internal platforms. - Support workflow automation using Power Automate and Power Apps. - Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AI agent performance, reliability, and response accuracy using analytics, logging, and feedback loops. - Collaborate with QA testers and automation engineers to validate AI workflows, integrations, and end-to-end scenarios. - Participate in test automation, regression testing, and release validation activities. - Work within Agile/Scrum delivery models, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. - Maintain documentation for designs, configurations, deployments, and operational procedures. - Mentor junior developers and support engineers transitioning into AI and automation development. Qualifications: Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. - Demonstrated experience in software development, automation, or AI-related roles. - 6+ years of experience building conversational AI or virtual agent solutions. - Strong proficiency in Python for automation and backend development. - Solid understanding of NLP concepts, LLM-based systems, prompt engineering, agentic AI, and Model Context Protocol (MCP). - Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise platforms using REST APIs and microservices. - Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams. - Ability to independently manage end-to-end solution delivery. Preferred: - Hands-on experience with Moveworks, Glean, or similar enterprise AI platforms. - Familiarity with ChatGPT Enterprise or other enterprise LLM deployments. - Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, or low-code/no-code platforms. - Exposure to LLMOps practices for monitoring and optimizing AI systems in production. - Prior experience scaling AI or automation solutions across multiple business functions or regions.
