About the role
As an Associate Manager, Product at Western Union in Pune, India, you will play a crucial role in bringing the product strategy to life by focusing on customer needs. You will collaborate with various teams including product, design, technology, program, business, regions, marketing, compliance, and legal to ensure the successful development of products and services. Role Overview: You will be responsible for driving the product lifecycle management at Western Union, from ideation to launch and beyond. Your key responsibilities will include: - Analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to make informed product decisions. - Defining and prioritizing product features to ensure a seamless and user-centric experience, along with supporting business cases and mapping KPIs for measuring performance. - Submitting requirements via detailed stories as per the agile methodology, undertaking RDW and grooming sessions with cross-functional teams. - Ensuring the highest quality standards for products through quality testing. - Collaborating with stakeholders across teams and communicating product goals, timelines, and milestones effectively. - Participating in ensuring a healthy product backlog and developing detailed product roadmaps. - Conducting market research to identify opportunities and threats in the industry. - Staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge. Qualifications Required: To excel in this role, you should have: - 6+ years of relevant work experience in digital product development and analytics. - Strong interest in digital products, commercial aspects, analytics, and competitive trends. - Good understanding of global KYC regulations, AML compliance, and data privacy laws. - Hands-on experience in product development, optimization, and new product initiatives. - Expertise in lean and agile working methodologies. - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional roles.
