SDE II (Java) Core Responsibilities Service Health & Reliability Maintain service uptime 99.9% across all owned microservices Keep API SLA within 100 ms at P95; own monitoring dashboards and alerting thresholds Participate in on-call rotations and drive incident reduction through RCA and preventive measures Engineering Delivery Develop, ship, and maintain features end-to-end with minimal supervision Ensure production quality: zero critical bugs; maintain Sonar quality gate compliance Design and own microservices within the Pre-buy SAAS POD Write clean, testable, well-documented code; maintain > 80% unit test coverage on new code AI-First & Agentic Development Default to AI-assisted development use LLM-powered tooling (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) for code generation, review, and debugging Build and integrate agentic workflows where appropriate: auto-remediation, AI-driven test generation, intelligent alerting Continuously evaluate new AI/ML tooling and advocate adoption of high-ROI practices within the team Contribute to internal guidelines for safe, reliable use of AI-generated code Business Metrics Develop, monitor, and continuously optimise business metrics owned by the POD Align engineering decisions with product KPIs (conversion, retention, cost efficiency) Team & Culture Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing Participate actively in design and code review processes; uphold team quality standards -Share your resume over Eshitaa.rastogi@wheelseye.com
