V & V Engineer

Role Overview: You will be part of the Engineering team at Whirlpool Corporation, where you will be responsible for developing, executing, and leading Verification and Validation (V&V) activities for Refrigerator products. Your role will involve creating comprehensive verification plans, leading the execution of V&V strategies, and ensuring product quality, performance, and compliance with requirements throughout the product development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Create comprehensive verification plans for Major and Critical projects, defining necessary tests for production readiness. - Develop and lead the execution of the V&V strategy and verification roadmap. - Determine required V&V and Lab Operations resources and timing for project portfolios. - Lead the V&V approval process and ensure timely project completion. - Drive the use of Virtual Product Development and other verification methods to reduce physical testing. - Assess V&V methodologies for robustness and utilize critical thought for product improvement. - Align validation and verification plans with System Integrator and subsystem teams, manage execution, and provide progress updates. - Support design reviews, identify non-compliant test results, and ensure global consistency in product approval processes. - Support continuous improvement of consumer satisfaction and post-launch V&V needs. Qualification Required: - Education: B.E/M.E in Mechanical Engineering - Certifications (Preferred): Opex Black Belt (Six Sigma) Certified and/or Design For Reliability - Experience: Minimum 8+ years in Engineering and Technical product development, with diverse experience preferred. - Preferred Technical Skills: Understanding of refrigeration, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and ability to perform engineering analysis.
