Qa Analyst

Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities • End-to-End Testing: Design, plan, and execute functional, regression, and integration testing for core trading platform applications. • Test Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test data, and user workflow matrices. • Defect Lifecycle Management: Identify, log, prioritize, and track bugs through resolution using defect tracking tools. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product teams, and business analysts to translate complex business rules into high-coverage test cases. • Release & UAT Support: Validate system releases, perform sanity checks, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders. Key Skills & Qualifications • Experience: 46 years of hands-on software testing / QA experience. • ETRM / CTRM Expertise: Direct exposure to ETRM/CTRM or commodity trading platforms (e.g., OpenLink Endur or similar tools). • Domain Knowledge: Good understanding of energy trading concepts, trade capture, deal lifecycle, physical/financial settlement, and risk management workflows. • Tools & Process: Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr). • Analytical Skills: Strong logical reasoning, problem-solving mindset, and edge-case testing ability. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams. Bonus Points (Nice-to-Have) • Proficiency in SQL for backend data validation and database testing. • Exposure to API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI) . • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery methodologies.
