About the role
Data Engineer (PL/SQL) LOCATION-Bangalore and Mumbai EXPERIENCE- 5-6 years Role Overview We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong PL/SQL expertise to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, database systems, and data integration workflows. The ideal candidate should have experience in database programming, data transformation, ETL processes, and large-scale data processing while ensuring data quality, performance, and scalability. Key Responsibilities Data Engineering & Pipeline Development • Design and develop data pipelines and ETL workflows to ingest, process, and transform data. • Build scalable data processing solutions to support analytics and reporting systems. PL/SQL Development • Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers. • Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). • Optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing strategies. Data Integration • Integrate data from multiple sources including: • Enterprise applications • APIs • Databases • Data lakes and warehouses Data Quality & Governance • Implement data validation, monitoring, and quality checks. • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security. Cloud & Data Platforms • Work with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Support modern data lake and data warehouse architectures. Collaboration • Work closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Platform Engineers. • Participate in data architecture design and solution development. REQUIREMENTS Required Skills Database Technologies • Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL • Database design and optimization Data Engineering • ETL / ELT pipeline development • Data transformation and integration Programming • SQL • PL/SQL • Python (preferred) Data Platforms • Oracle Database • Snowflake / Redshift / BigQuery (preferred) Data Integration Tools • Informatica / Talend / Apache Airflow (preferred) Preferred Skills • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) • Knowledge of big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop • Experience with data warehousing and dimensional modeling • Understanding of real-time data processing systems Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Information Technology • 4–6 years of experience in Data Engineering or Database Development Success Metrics • Data pipeline reliability and performance • Query optimization and database efficiency • Data accuracy and integrity • Timely delivery of data integration solutions
