Role : Freelance Databricks & Snowflake Architect Company Name : WillWare Technologies Work Model : Remote / Contract Experience : 10+ Years Job Description : Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Databricks & Snowflake Architect to design, build, and optimize modern cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/GCP), data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and big data solutions. The role involves leading end-to-end architecture, migration, performance optimization, and data governance initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design and implement scalable data architectures using Databricks and Snowflake. Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Develop modern data lake, lakehouse, and data warehouse solutions. Lead migration projects from legacy data warehouses to Snowflake and Databricks. Design data models, dimensional models, and star/snowflake schemas. Implement Delta Lake architecture and optimize data storage. Develop scalable data processing pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala). Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, ERP, CRM, and cloud storage. Optimize query performance, clustering, partitioning, and warehouse sizing in Snowflake. Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code where applicable. Work with DevOps teams for deployment automation. Establish data governance, security, lineage, and access controls. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements. Mentor data engineers and provide architectural guidance. Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support. Required Skills Data Platform Databricks Snowflake Delta Lake Apache Spark Lakehouse Architecture Data Warehousing Programming Python PySpark SQL Scala (Preferred) Cloud Platforms Azure AWS GCP Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Data Architecture. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks and Snowflake. Strong expertise in Apache Spark and PySpark. Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms. Experience with data migration and modernization projects. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
