Job Title: Senior Consultant - Java JEE & Spring Backend Developer Experience: 7+ Years Location: Remote Employment Type: Contract Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Java JEE & Spring Backend Developer with strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade backend applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, SQL databases, and cloud-native application development. Note: This role is focused on core Java backend development. Candidates with experience limited to SAP Commerce (Hybris) development are not suitable. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java JEE and Spring Boot. Develop and consume RESTful APIs and Microservices. Build secure, high-performance, and reusable backend components. Participate in system architecture, design discussions, and technical decision-making. Integrate applications with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and messaging platforms. Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following coding standards. Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers. Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA teams, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Required Skills 6-10 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development. Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17 . Excellent knowledge of Java JEE . Strong experience with Spring Boot , Spring MVC , Spring Security , and Spring Data JPA . Experience developing Microservices architecture. Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services . Experience with Hibernate/JPA . Strong SQL skills with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server. Experience with Maven or Gradle. Good understanding of multithreading, collections, JVM concepts, and performance tuning. Experience with Git and version control systems. Preferred Skills Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS messaging. Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI. Knowledge of SonarQube and code quality tools. Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, and application security best practices.
