Company Name:WillwareTechnologies Role:SAP ABAP RAP Developer Experience:8+ Years Location:Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Gurugram ,Pune,Mumbai WorkMode:Onsite Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP RAP Developer with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA to design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance SAP applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) , CDS Views , AMDP , RICEF development , and SAP development best practices. The role requires close collaboration with functional consultants, Fiori/UI5 developers, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement custom SAP ABAP solutions using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP). Develop and optimize SAP S/4HANA applications using CDS Views, AMDP, Open SQL, and code pushdown techniques. Build RAP-based business objects, behavior definitions, service bindings, and OData services. Design, develop, and maintain RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms). Develop and integrate BAPIs, RFCs, REST/SOAP APIs, and web services. Implement enhancements using BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework, and Custom Logic applications. Follow SAP Clean Core principles and SAP development standards for custom development. Collaborate with Functional Consultants and SAP Fiori/UI5 teams to deliver integrated business solutions. Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, and production support. Prepare technical design documents, functional specifications, and knowledge transfer documentation. Support SIT, UAT, go-live, hypercare, and post-production activities. Ensure application quality, security, governance, and compliance with SAP best practices. Required Skills 8-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA development. Expertise in RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP). Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects (OO ABAP) and Classical ABAP. Hands-on experience with CDS Views, AMDP, Open SQL optimization, and HANA code pushdown. Experience developing RAP Business Objects, Behavior Definitions, Behavior Implementations, and Service Bindings. Strong knowledge of OData Services (SEGW and RAP-based services). Experience in developing and supporting RICEF objects. Knowledge of Entity Manipulation Language (EML). Experience with BAPIs, RFCs, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and third-party integrations. Hands-on experience with Enhancements, BAdIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework. Experience working with Adobe Forms and SmartForms. Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI5 application development. Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is an added advantage. Understanding of SAP API Management and Integration Suite. Experience with Git-enabled ABAP development is preferred. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodology. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
