Product Engineer, Fullstack

As a Senior IC 5 Product Engineer at Wise, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of innovative solutions tailored for the APAC markets in Hyderabad. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and leading the implementation of scalable, customer-centric solutions to cater to diverse APAC markets, aiming to reduce redundancies and improve lead time for market expansion. - Taking ownership of the evolution of the product observability stack to identify gaps and unlock new growth opportunities for operational excellence. - Developing a strong technical opinion on regional solution designs, providing feedback for design and Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) for APAC and regional expansion. Qualifications required for this role include: - Solid Java 17 knowledge and experience with the Spring framework and microservice architecture, with a minimum of 10 years of work experience. - Experience in working with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization and schema design. - Strong product mindset to approach challenges, prioritize customer needs, and make data-driven decisions to address customer pain points. - Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. - Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to senior and experienced developers. - Web development experience with JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or similar. - Experience in technical leadership, maintaining technical excellence beyond your team, managing performance, providing feedback, and coaching engineers for growth. - Familiarity with Continuous Integration and deployment frameworks. Additionally, the following skills and experiences would be beneficial: - Experience with financial systems, including payments, digital onboarding flows, and payment schemes. - Some knowledge of Groovy. - Working with external and regulatory stakeholders.
