About the role
As a QA/Test Management Engineer, you will be part of a Global test management team working in the Regulatory reporting domain. You will collaborate with a wide range of colleagues across the technology and business domain. Your responsibilities will include having a good knowledge of testing concepts, such as understanding business requirements, defining test scope, collaborating with business/automation stakeholders, executing tests, tracking bugs/defects, and ensuring closure. You will demonstrate a high level of subject matter expertise to bridge functional requirements and technical solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Strong working knowledge of various test types including white-box, black-box, positive/negative, edge cases, etc. - Solid test design skills, test case writing, automation, and analysis. - Proficiency in various test phases including functional, integration, and regression testing. - Experience in running test suites, investigating failures, raising bugs, and working closely with the Dev and Business Analyst team. - Active participation in squad ceremonies such as Sprint Refinements, Planning, Retrospective, and daily standups. - Ability to learn new things and exhibit an innovative testing approach. - Strong problem-solving skills. Qualifications Required: - Ability to test applications thoroughly before deployment to ensure error-free delivery. - 2-8 years of experience in test automation or feature development (programming experience). - Experience working with geographically dispersed Dev & QA teams in a dynamic and high-pressure project setting. - Familiarity with working in a fast-paced Agile framework. - Ability to challenge the status quo and think of out-of-the-box solutions. - Excellent problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of trade lifecycle, product types, and asset class types. - Willingness to guide fellow team members in learning new technologies. Additional Details: - Understanding of DevOps for complex systems. - Knowledge of Transaction Reporting, OTC Derivatives, and Post Trade processing activities. - Experience with continuous deployment tools and practices. - Experience with automation tools such as Python/PowerBI.
