Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Build and optimize cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Develop and maintain event-driven and messaging-based architectures using SQS and SNS.
• Design and manage serverless solutions with AWS Lambda.
• Work with DynamoDB to build high-performance, scalable data solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, low-latency backend services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, availability, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
Must-have Skills
• +5 years of experience working as a Frontend Engineer.
• Strong experience with Node.js and backend application development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including:
• EC2
• Lambda
• SQS
• SNS
• DynamoDB
• Experience designing and developing scalable distributed systems.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have:
• AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
• Experience building systems that process millions of messages per day with high reliability.
• Experience designing and optimizing low-latency distributed systems.
• Knowledge of graceful degradation strategies to ensure service resilience under failure conditions.
• Experience with high-availability, fault-tolerant, and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with performance optimization and scalability best practices.
