Senior Project Engineer

Monitor progress of work for Engineering, Process, Procurement, and Construction versus the schedule and coordinate between these groups within assigned sub-area. Review key discipline deliverables at appropriate stages for scope compliance. Identify and resolve schedule issues relating to all disciplines within the sub-area. Prepare scope, gather man-hour, schedule impact, and other technical input, and prepare justifications for change flags raised by all disciplines. Coordinate and control transfer of Engineering data and scope to WIEPPL, assuring the quality of data transmitted. Prepare Project Engineering deliverables efficiently. Attend HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL reviews for sub-area and assist Design Safety Engineer in coordinating these reviews. Chair and manage formal model review, plot plan review, materials review, and hazardous area classification review for sub-area, preparing and issuing minutes/actions from these reviews. Ensure design data and documentation, including the 3D Model, meet the quality requirements for all design verification reviews and expedite closure of all actions arising from all design verification activities. Attend area engineering meetings and approve all P&IDs, line lists, equipment lists, special piping item lists, and other Project Engineering deliverables relating to their area. Review, challenge, and approve Contract Engineering Data sheets / Project Development Record when the impact of change is fully understood and accepted as essential, raising change notices as appropriate. Liaise with clients for all design and specification-related issues within assigned areas and arrange/Chair regular area design coordination meetings to discuss inter-discipline design and progress issues (to be attended by all discipline area leads). Regularly update Document Management System and review change flags prior to onward scoping and evaluation as necessary by the Project Engineer. Manage processing and delivery to Project Controls or Business Manager, checking multi-discipline Subcontract requisitions. Attend Client change review meetings chaired by Project Manager and weekly Lead Engineers meeting. Attend area design verification reviews as appropriate, where not delegated to Project Engineers, and constructability reviews. Prepare Butt List for Project Engineering activities within allocated areas when directed by Lead Project Engineer. Job Requirements Graduate in Engineering (Essential) [Chemical / Mechanical preferred]. Post Graduate in Engineering (Desirable). Minimum 6 years of experience in an engineering environment in project execution, with at least 3 years in a relevant discipline. Ability to check engineering deliverables in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering environment. Experience in FEED and EPC engineering execution, including field engineering in project execution. Strong knowledge of project management principles, practices, and techniques. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
