About the role
Role Overview: Join Woodside Global Solutions in Bengaluru as an Associate Cyber Security Advisor where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding people, brand, and reputation across IT and Operational Technology. Your mission will involve ensuring transparency and proactive cyber risk management while driving the strategic uplift of cyber capability across the Woodside business. You will report to the Team Lead Cyber Risk and Compliance in Bengaluru and contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of Cyber Risk and Compliance services. Key Responsibilities: - Engage early with projects to embed secure-by-design principles and manage risks effectively - Provide guidance to new technology initiatives, ensuring understanding of threats and risks, application of security patterns, and transparent management of gaps - Champion cyber security to influence service line managers and stakeholders to understand, own, and manage cyber threats - Support delivery and continuous improvement of global Cyber Risk and Compliance capabilities - Apply relevant standards to system architecture and design - Contribute to the ongoing development of standards, processes, patterns, and guidelines to enhance security posture - Provide quality assurance and advice on security designs, patterns, and technology decisions - Develop a cyber security team that excels in protecting Woodside's people, brand, and reputation Qualifications Required: - Relevant Cyber Security or Computer Science tertiary degree (or equivalent qualification) - Industry recognised certifications relevant to cyber security, architecture, governance risk and compliance are desirable - 4-6 years+ combined experience in cyber security, solution architecture, systems engineering, or related cyber security roles - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders - Foundational understanding of industry cyber security frameworks and key security concepts - Exposure to security architecture activities and enterprise security tools Additional Company Details: Woodside is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce culture supported by their Values.
