About the role
As a Database Developer within Azure SQL, your role involves designing, developing, and managing databases. You will be responsible for SQL query development, query optimization, and application integration. Working closely with the business, you will determine logical designs for new business solutions based on existing data architecture. Key Responsibilities: - Perform code reviews, analyze execution plans, and re-factor inefficient code - Ensure adherence to data standards, resolve data issues, conduct unit testing, and document ETL processes - Collaborate with business analysts, source system experts, and team members to define data extraction and transformation requirements - Work with IT operations and testing teams to ensure timely project releases and sustainable database environments - Provide support to IT staff and business users in developing, using, and troubleshooting database-driven applications - Participate in special projects as required and offer on-call assistance when needed - Ensure development processes follow the ABSG SDLC process - Familiarity with AGILE development release train Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in ADF with exposure to SSIS to ADF Migration - Strong skills in Azure SQL, microservices, Azure Pipelines, Azure Databricks, SQL Server, SSIS, T-SQL, and Stored Procedures - Exposure to scripting/programming languages such as C# and Python Additional Company Details: The company expects candidates with 8-10 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
