Java Backend Developer

As a Java Backend Developer with 7-10 years of experience in Java backend technologies and expertise in the payments domain, you will be joining one of the biggest names in payments as a Senior Software Engineer. Your role will be crucial in the ever-evolving GPP team to unleash the potential of every business. Role Overview: Key Responsibilities: - Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products for local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. - Interact with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and necessary modifications. - Participate in software design meetings, analyze user needs, and determine technical requirements. - Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. - Write code, complete programming, perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies. - Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. - Train and communicate with internal Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams on systems application. - Responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets, schedules, and documenting work and results. - Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 6 years of experience in developing Java applications or services. - Knowledge and hands-on experience in Java (preferably Java 8 and above), Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Springboot, Restful Web services, SQL DB (e.g., PostgresDB, MySQL), NoSQL DB (e.g., Cassandra, Dynamo DB), message streaming framework (e.g., Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ). - Basic understanding of AWS and its services like S3, RDS. - Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Microservices using the latest technologies. - Experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting services live in production. - Worked on Quality assurance tools like SonarQube, BlackDuck, Checkmarx, or similar tools. - Experience in using CICD environments for deployments. - Little or basic understanding of DevOps or the Network layer of a Microservice.
