About the role
Role Overview: As a Structural Designer Level II at Worley, you will collaborate with the existing team to execute projects for clients while enhancing your skills and expertise. Your responsibilities will include developing and updating 2D drawings and 3D models for offshore structures, preparing GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and detailing layouts, interpreting design calculations and engineering sketches, modeling structural steel components using software like Tekla, SP3D, or PDMS/E3D, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards, participating in model reviews, preparing material take-offs, and supporting procurement activities. You will also assist in resolving construction/fabrication queries, maintain project deliverables' quality and accuracy, implement project standards and best practices, and be an independent contributor responsible for detailed structural design and coordination for offshore projects. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and update 2D drawings and 3D models for offshore structures - Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and detailing layouts - Interpret design calculations, engineering sketches, and specifications - Model structural steel components using software such as Tekla, SP3D, or PDMS/E3D - Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (API, AISC, ISO, DNV, ABS) - Participate in model reviews, clash checks, and design reviews - Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and support procurement activities - Assist in construction/fabrication queries and provide design clarifications - Maintain quality, accuracy, and schedule adherence of project deliverables - Implement project standards, QA/QC procedures, and best practices Qualifications Required: - Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering - 8 to 12 years of experience in offshore / oil & gas / heavy engineering projects - Experience in offshore structural design and detailing - Familiarity with fabrication and construction practices for offshore structures - Exposure to FEED and detailed engineering projects preferred Additional Company Details: Worley is a global company of energy, chemicals, and resources experts headquartered in Australia.
